At 3" deep and 9" diameter these large bowls with built in grater will hold three pretty good size rib-eye steaks in a freshly made marinade (never marinate in metal).  They can also accommodate pasta to toss enough for three or four people, or freshly made salad dressing for two (toss in bowl).
To make a dressing or a marinade, we simply start by grating the garlic or ginger (or both) on the bottom of the big rasp bowl.  Then build the whole recipe in the same bowl!!  No transferring = less mess and more flavor!!  
 
A Hand-Crafted Ceramic Garlic Herb Mill
Style Dry Herb Mills are made in Spain. These are refillable and reusable. 5" in height by 3" diameter.
 
The key to intensify the flavor and aromatics of store bought spices, herbs and seasoning is to crush or "muddle" them. This brings out the natural oils and "kicks up" those bland boring herbs to add a kick to any of your recipes. The level of coarseness can be adjusted with 5 different settings from very fine to course. Just turn the handle like a pepper mill and enjoy the full potential and aromas of the herbs, or tap the handle to dispense the herbs whole. Great for roasting, soups or stews.

This ceramic canister keeps your favorite roots cool and fresh while protecting your bulbs from light, allowing the optimal air flow to avoid a pungent kitchen, and regulating humidity all at the same time. Plus they double up as oven roasters!!! If you live where it gets dry, hot, cold, or humid ever - then you need these hand-made in Spain Garlic Keepers. 
 
At 5 1/4" Tall and 4 1/2" wide, expect to hold 5-7 average garlic bulbs, and it's also great for shallots and ginger too! They all stay fresher longer, and no transfer of flavors (always make a clean slice on ginger prior to storing).
 
Instructions:
Pre-heat oven to 400.  While it’s heating up, peel excess outer skins of some bulbs making it easier to cut through the top 1/4 inch or so across bulb to expose the tops of all the cloves.  Make sure each clove still has its own little skin still intact.   Drizzle tops liberally with olive oil, and place cut bulbs in the keeper / roaster.   Place ceramic lid on and oven roast for at least 30 min.  May take longer depending on size, and number of bulbs.  May take extra oil while roasting.  Some folks drizzle with melted butter and cook for a few last extra minutes.  Ideally, they come out golden brown or darker and become easy to spread.  Make sure to use pot holder when taking out to check!!!!  
 
All sets come with a silicone garlic peeler that is so simple to use: just insert a clove and roll firmly to remove garlic skin – it's that easy! The gathering brush collects grated ingredients and can also be used to clean your garlic grater plate.
